Bangladesh nationals applying for visas from third countries, whose representative missions/High  Commissions are concurrently accredited to Bangladesh do actually opt for the Indian Entry Visa. This Visa is valid for a maximum time period of three months only..

Also, those Bangladeshi nationals who are married to an Indian National Can Apply for this Visa to Visit India too. Later they can opt for an X-2 visa for a period up to five years.

The visa is strictly non-extendable and non-convertible. If you wish to stay in India for more than 90 days, you will have to apply for an appropriate visa from the Indian Mission/Post where you are residing.

Indian Entry Visa Application Process For Bangladeshi Citizens

The Indian Entry Visa Application process is quite simple and easy. The process of applying for an Indian Entry Visa can be done either online or offline. The Indian Embassy or Consulate General in your country will provide you with the application form and instructions on how to fill it.

In the first step, you must fill the online application form with all your details and a list of documents. The next step is to upload your photo on the application form. You have to take a printout of this application form and attach it with all required documents. After uploading all necessary documents, you will have to pay online through debit or credit cards or net banking for cash payment. Once your payment is done, you will get an acknowledgment email from the embassy which will tell you that your application has been processed. This means that now you can go ahead and collect your passport from the embassy as soon as possible.

2. Pay the application fee through an online payment system (credit/debit card).

4. Present your passport and other necessary documents at the embassy/consulate on your scheduled date and time for processing of visa application process.

5. You will receive your Indian Entry Visa within 3 working days upon issuance of a visa number by the Indian Embassy/Consulate as per the schedule mentioned on their website or offices via email or fax before you leave India on your specified date and time after paying any additional fees if applicable under section 7(i) of Act 21 of 1985 (Indian Passport Act 1984)

This mandatory application form must be filled in by hand and signed by the applicant before being submitted to the embassy/consulate.

Document Requirement For Indian Entry Visa

To apply for an Indian Entry Visa as a Bangladeshi international, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • NID/Birth certificate as the Proof of Identity
  • Last passport copy and all old passports
  • Latest Utility Bill copy as the Proof of Residence
  • One recent (not less than 3 months old) 2x2 (350x350 pixels) color photograph depicts a full face with white background.
  • Bank statement/Dollar endorsement (Endorsement should not be older than 1 (one) month at the time of submission)/Active international credit card / Travel card
  • Profession proof: You will also need to submit proof that you are employed by an employer who has registered with the Bangladesh Govt. This may include A copy of their company’s business license issued by the Bangladesh Govt. In the case of students ts, a copy of the Identity card from the educational institution is to be attached, a retired person needs retirement papers.
  • Proof of Financial soundness: International travel card like SBI Travel card / updated bank statement (last 3 months) / endorsement* of foreign currency equivalent to US$150/- per applicant ( Endorsement* should not be older than 1 (one) month at the time of submission), International credit card with running year endorsement in the passport.

These few things You Should keep Kepp in your mind carefully while you fill up the form

  • Applicants will be required to scan, upload and submit a photograph in the designated space provided for this purpose. 
  • The photo should match the applicant's date of birth and place of birth appearing in their current passport, NID card, and/or birth certificate.
  •  All old passport applications must be submitted within eight days of filling out the form.

Bangladeshi passport holders can apply for Indian visas on a walk-in basis; however, they may not be able to enter India without proper documentation. The application form must be submitted at IVAC within 8 days of filling it out.

Indian Entry Visa Processing Time For Bangladeshi Internationals?

It depends on the country you are applying from and the date of your travel. If you are traveling from Bangladesh, then the process would take about 3-4 weeks.
